Elizabeth McPherson

Elizabeth McPherson earned a BFA in dance from The Juilliard School and an MA in dance research and reconstruction from The City College of New York. A member of Avodah Dance Ensemble since June, 1990, she also performs with The Oona Haaranen Dance Company and Ernesta Corvino's Dance Circle Company. Elizabeth is on the dance faculties of The City College of New York, The Arts Gate Center and Henry Street Settlement Arts for Living Center. She has reconstructed Helen Tamiris' Negro Spirituals for Avodah, and has been a guest teacher in her native state, Tennessee. Elizabeth is currently working on her doctorate in dance education at NYU.
